About Experienced Training

And a little bit about me!

A little about me

I’m proud of being in my 40’s.

This is because there have been times when I could not have been!

As a person I love to learn and share and I’m so happy that I found my place in the training world.

This has led to a 20+ year training career that has allowed me to visit organisations all over the United Kingdom.

I’m also privileged to be invited to speak to various organisations as a speaker on mental health, homelessness and adversity.

On this site I talk a lot about what I can do for business however there is one simple truth, I love to be around people sharing and listening to information.

The main motivation comes from overcoming disaster in my 20’s and realising that my voice and training can help others so I give back in the only way I can.

I’ve been obsessed with improving my training skills and have gained confidence from the projects I’ve done.

It’s all about making a difference.

For example, I was the training lead on converting Leeds Teaching Hospital’s medication system from paper to digital. (check out the project page).

If you want a trainer who really cares for your staff and wants to push your project forward, get in touch.

Experience

If you need training, you can be confident in sending me to any audience.

My career has always been based on effective communication.

Initially I worked as an IT engineer working in networking. The problem was I wanted to talk all the time and did not have a very captive audience!

I moved into IT sales and quickly worked up to being a national IT sales trainer.

After a life changing accident, I moved into training social care and Experienced Training was born.

From here I worked up to a senior level in the NHS and became a contractor.

For a change, I moved into corporate banking and construction, more to test out my skills and learn from as many people as possible.

Check out my projects page for the details.

How Experienced Training became LTD

When the pandemic started, the contract training world stopped to a halt.

My usual avenues for work disapeared in the covid crisis.
Luckily I have a network of people I keep in touch with.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals needed a trainer to deliver COVID-19 training in Leeds and Harrogate to NHS volunteers and reached out to see if I was available.

I was put on their White List of companies and became Experienced Training LTD was born.

I’d used this website for years before and worked via umbrella and invoicing. I’m so grateful for their help in that time.
